Vilamichai Ver / Coleus Vettiveroides Root [Raw]

Vilamichai Ver is also called Karuppu vetiver. It has the similar benefits of vetiver.
An ancient siddhar’s poem in “Arputha Sinthamani” mentioned the benefits of vilamichai ver

‘மேகம் விழியெரிச்சல் வீறிரப் பித்தமொடி
தாகமத மூர்ச்சை பித்தஞ்சார் மயக்கம் – சேகஞ்
சிரநேரமிழவயேகுஞ் செய்ய விலாமிச்சக்
கெரி கிரமு மின்றென்றிசை’
– அற்புத சிந்தாமணி.

பொருள்:

மேகநீர் கண் எரிவு, உதிரபித்தம், தாகம், மூர்ச்சை, பித்தம், பித்தத்தால் ஏற்படும் மயக்கம், கோபம், தலைவலி, தீச்சுரம் நிவர்த்தி ஆகும்.
